Sturtevant Richmont Torque Measurement Systems
"Whether your process invloves design, assembly or customer service, to insure a consistently high level of quality, the variables in the process must be controlled."
When torque is variable, turn to Sturtevant Richmont to meet your needs. They have specialized in manufacturing the broadest array of torque equipment for over 60 years (yes torque measurement is their only business).

What are the 3 most important requirements of any torque wrench? Most agree that accuracy, reliability, and durability are. This is why in the automotive industry for example, the Sturtevant Richmont flat beam wrench is the standard.

The special alloy steel beam is ground to a rate of deflection with the use of dead weights rather than a dimensional tolerance. The results: "As long as the beam is intact and the pointer is on zero"-this wrench has to be accurate! Flat beam wrenches are available from 2 in. ozs to 300 ft. lbs (English or metric) in many different ranges.
In addition to flat beam wrenches Sturtevant Richmont also manufactures Micrometer adjustable Torque Wrenches. The SDR Series shown below has these features:

• Wrench is adjusted to torque value by rotating grip
• Simple mechanism locks handle to lock in torque
• An audible "click" when torque value is reached
• Ball bearing rockover assures smooth operation and enhances repeatability
• Accuracy of + or - 4% of indicated value
• Strong ratchet design
• Neoprene rubber handle makes for a secure grip surface

LTC SERIES FEATURES

• Unique dovetail design transmits the load at right angles providing an exceptionally strong interlocking connection between wrench and heads
• Extremely flexible system permits the use of fewer wrenches by utilizing over 200 standard heads and extensions, plus special application heads
• Torque analyzer must be used to set torque value
• Adjustments to torque setting can only be made with a combination adjusting release tool (CART) to prevent tampering on the product line
• Wrench can be calibrated to accomodate all measurement scales within wrench capacity
• The pin lock insures positive head attatchment yet head changeover can be accomplished in seconds
• Slim design allows wrench use in confined areas
• Wrench can be used in either direction with the same accuracy by removing head and turning the wrench over
• When preset torque is achieved, an audible click and feel is emitted
